![So I’ve been doing this StreamZoo thing for a few months now. In addition to posting my own photos and edits, I have also been liking and shouting out other StreamZooers’ photos and edits [aka interesting art and stuff]. Hence the Likeness Monster Badge - it means I have liked 10,000 (yes, ten thousand) of my fellow SZers’ photos/images/art posts.
It has taken me many months to achieve this wondrous and fun sz icon but the most amazing thing is, as a result of this badge quest, I feel as though I’ve traveled around the world, and back again.
Through the eyes of a thousand souls I have seen faces, places, animals (domestic and wild), birds, insects, flowers, clouds and sunsets, from every continent on this earth - and more beaches, islands, oceans and seas than I ever knew existed.
As with all social networks there is the small percentage of posts on StreamZoo that I don’t like and sometimes there appears to be micro-dramas happening between and amongst SZ’ers - but hey, it’s art; it’s subjective - so I just skip past those moments.
Overall I find that there is a much larger group of SZ’ers that I really think are fun to follow and with whom I have a common sensibility. For the most part the posts are incredibly cool snapshots (some edited with effects and some unedited captured and uploaded from iphones, androids and every kind of DSLR camera known). Like Instagram but different and better - just my opinion.
I’ve been a global thinker for a long time but to experience so many perspectives through creative photography has made me more sure than ever that we have more in common than we don’t.
